About Us

Eastwood Town FC, known as The Badgers was founded in 1953 and play at Coronation Park in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire.

They currently play in the Blue Square Bet North League. Initially the club played in the Notts Alliance, the Centeral Alliance and East Midlands Regional League. In 1971 the club became semi professional and moved on to the Midland Counties League and subsequently on to the northern Counties East League and the northern Premier League.

However they were relegated back into the Northen Counties East League in 2003, but returned to the NPL (Northern Premier League) the following season.

In 2007 the club was taken over by Robert Yong and considerable financial investment was made by him over the following seasons. The club was subsequently promoted to the Unibond League and in 2009 were promoted to the Blue Square Bet North League and made it to the 3rd round proper of the FA Cup.

During the season 2010/2011 the club finished 4th in the Blue Square Bet North League, but were denied the opportunity to take part in the promotion play offs due to the facilities at Coronation Park not being up to the required standard.

Yong put the club up for sale for £1.00 selling it to Jamie Brough in June 2011. Around the same time that manager Paul Cox resigned from the club and was later appointed as manager of neighbours Mansfield Town FC.

The club is now owned by Steve Lynch. The club is now managed by John Ramshaw and his assistant Richard Cooper.
